ABOUT ME
Putting My Experience
to Work
Born and raised in Wicomico County, my family has called the Eastern Shore home for over five generations, spanning 180 years.
I attended Salisbury University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a minor in Political Science. During that time, I led efforts with the Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE) to organize non-partisan events where young adults could meet local candidates and learn firsthand the role local politics plays in their day-to-day lives. It was a life-changing opportunity for me, and began my journey of raising a voice for the people of my community. For the next two years, I would continue to work with PACE as a student, hosting voter registration drives and gatherings with our Eastern Shore delegation.
After graduating, I entered the renewable energy sector, where I have worked for the last five years to deliver Maryland's first offshore wind projects. I worked closely with local environmental groups, state agencies, and local businesses to identify opportunities for the State of Maryland. It's a project that I'm proud to have served on. Not only did I see the benefits of renewable energy, but I saw the possibilities this new American industry could bring to the Eastern Shore - opportunities to expand our student curriculum, well-paying jobs for our citizens, updated infrastructure, and a chance for our local businesses to succeed.
Wicomico County needs leadership that will show up daily to serve this community, who is willing to think outside the box and work collaboratively for our future. If elected as your next County Council At-Large Member, I can promise to bring a brighter future to Wicomico.
